About

Dear Reader,

Thanks for checking out my blog-Living Worship. In case you are not familiar with me, I’d like to share a little bit with you about how God has been transforming me into one of His worshipers.

My name is Rick Pidcock. In September of 2004, my wife Ruth Ellen and I moved from Greenville, SC to Denver, CO in order to help start a non-denominational, Christ-centered church in Denver. We remained in Denver for seven years.  And we recently returned home to South Carolina.

My passion is to share the redeeming hope of Christ through the gospel in every facet of life. The gospel is more than just the minimum theological facts that are necessary to believe in order to receive salvation. Rather, it is the transforming motive and power that calls and compels us to become worshipers of God with all that we are.

That is where I get the title for my blog-Living Worship. Worship is more than what happens on Sunday morning. It includes every thought, desire, motive, and action in life. It is living every moment by faith in order to magnify God to be of utmost supremacy, in response to the gospel of Christ. And I pray that God will use Living Worship to encourage you and to point you to the One that gives hope and power for everything that you face each day.

worshiping Him,
Rick Pidcock

  2. Rick,

I had a friend tell me they googled my name so I thought I would try it. Your blog came up with links to my sermons. I thought I’d drop you a note. Thanks for listening. I see that you are doing some church planting in CO. That is really great! I hope that you are encouraged in your work and ministry. Thanks for your work on this blog as well.

    God’s grace to you,

    Steve DeWitt

  3. Steve,

Hey, great to hear from you. We actually worked together a bit down at Woodlands Camp a number of years ago when I led the worship. I always appreciated your gospel-centered approach to Christian life and ministry. So I wanted to get some of your sermons out to the people that occasionally stumble across my blog. Thanks for the encouragement.

  4. Dear Rick
I have just found your website and it looks like a site I will visit often but it seems to be out dated as the latest date I can see is Jan 08 indicating that it has not been updated for some time. If this is the case can you tell me when and how often you update the site.

    Thanks.

  5. Shirley,

I’m glad you found the site. Life during 2008 was pretty hectic for me. I was working about 50-60 hours a week, spending another 10-20 hours a week on church stuff, and another 10 hours a week on getting my business up and running. So between all of that, and having a wife, I didn’t do that much blogging last year.

This year should be a bit different. I am now full-time with my own business, which is allowing me time to do the other things I enjoy the most–one of which is blogging.

So I am expecting to add about one or two articles a month from here on out. My latest is in regards to having a gospel-centered view of politics that I posted about a week and a half ago or so. Thanks!

    Rick
